February 2007

Happy Anniversary, AcrobatUsers.com!

One year ago — February 14, 2006, to be exact — we publicly launched AcrobatUsers.com as an informational resource for the global user community. As I noted in a site introduction at the time, "the paint is still wet, and there's a lot of open space."

Things have changed. Starting from scratch, we've grown to a global community site with more than 10,000 registered members, representing 36 different industries in 80-plus countries. And during the year, Adobe launched a new version of Acrobat and an expanded product family.

We asked you to tell us how we can best empower you to get more out of Acrobat and PDF. Accordingly, we've strived to develop a mix of content — articles, interviews, tips, tutorials and so on--and a growing set of interactive features and tools, with that aim in mind. And we're working on some new things we’ll be introducing in the near future.

If you liked or didn't like something in AcrobatUsers.com's first year, please let us know! Our goal remains the same: to create a functional, useful environment where you feel comfortable and to which you'll want to return often.

On to an even bigger and better Year Two!

Best Regards
~ Kurt, Editor, AcrobatUsers.com
