I open my 3d pdf in 7.0.7 reader. On some machines I can change from 'software' to 'directx 9' which is great, but on other machines I don't seem able to although directx 9 appears to be installed. Help

You are seeing different behavior as a result of different video cards, and the functionality the video card supports.
