‘Fill Patterns’ problem

I am producing PDFs from Word and Visio 2000 with Acrobat 7.0 standard where everything is fine except ‘Fill Patterns’. I have tired changing various setting but they always appear very course as if they are low resolution (I have used most export resolutions including 4000DPI). If I try Acrobat 5 on another PC (both Windows 2k) there are no problems.

Please advise what I need to change in Acrobat 7.09 which is the latest version or is there a bug fix?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7 / Windows

Re: ‘Fill Patterns’ problem

Hi --

Some of the patterns in Visio don't translate well. In particular, those that are 'blocky' such as checked patterns. You might want to try a fill with less color contrast (such as light green/medium green pattern) or use a gradient.

Re: ‘Fill Patterns’ problem

How you are creating the PDFs?  By using the "Create Adobe PDF" buttons or by printing to the Adobe PDF Printer?

What setting do you have selected?

Re: ‘Fill Patterns’ problem

Hi

Thanks for the replies but unfortunately it doesn’t solve the problem. These are existing drawings so changing the colours or patterns are not an option. What I don’t understand is this is not a problem in version  5.05.

Leonard, Hi

1/ I can’t get Acrobat to add the “Create Adobe PDF” button to Visio 2000, how do I do this?

2/ I am using Adobe PDF Printer but can’t attached a screen dump of the settings so which ones are you particularly interested in?
