Q:
I just purchased Acrobat 3D to use with Solidworks. Upon setting my system up my 3D parts and assemblies in Solidworks no longer would load quickly or respond to movement commands. I checked the Task Manager and found that the CPU usgae was 100% and I got a system error message stating I was out of memory even though I have a 2G system. I have a dual display CAD system with dual ouput video card. Haven't had problems until I loaded Acrobat 3D. Previously had Acrobat 7 on my system and it worked fine.
I uninstalled Acrobat 3D from my system and Solidworks returned to working like normal, even with large assembly files.
What setup do I require to use Acrobat 3D and Solidworks together?
A:There should not be a problem with this set up. I run the same set up my self. So let's dig deeper,
1. What version of Solidworks are you running
2. What operating system are you running
3. When you went to Task Manager what process was using the most memory
4. Was Acrobat up and running
that should get us started, but I would suggest a full uninstall of acrobat 7 then a clean install of the Acrobat 3D version 8.

A:Hi There,
Here is a thought: The Acrobat 3D Capture function may be causing some of the problem. If you are not using it for SolidWorks data, you can disable it for SolidWorks. If you are not using it at all, you can disable it for all formats. You can do it in "preferences". Just go there and uncheck the 3D Capture box. Hope this helps!
