I am using Adobe 8.1 and when I try to save a PDF to our Sharepoint site via a NEtwork places link the operation fails with a message saying General failure then another message saying that it cannot extract the embedded font?
I tried it with adobe 7 and got the same error.
I am also tried MS office 2003 and 2007

There are a few suggestions for this at:

Specifically, suggestions include patching the sharepoint server and for searching PDFs to include the PDF iFilter (included with newer versions of Acrobat).
