when i try to resave a pdf ready file,the file size decreases...why? (using acrobat 8 professional)

Save As automatically compresses the file which is a good thing. If you don't want to reduce the size of your file, don't use Save As and don't use the Optimizer.

You can also turn off the following preference in Acrobat 8:
Edit --> Documents Panel --> Save As Optimizes for Fast Web View
