I have been trying to reduce the size of digital pictures to attach to Emails by selecting 'smaller file'. This doesn't seem to work on my Adobe 8 Standard. Advice??

Hi rcorry,
I'm going to assume you're using the PDFMaker macro and are selecting "Smallest file size" from the Change Conversion menu. If so, try creating a new conversion setting and adjust the image specific settings. Or, you could downsample your pictures before creating the PDF.
File --> Save As and Document --> Reduce File Size can also reduce the PDF file size but these commands don't resample your graphics to make them smaller.
