consecutive numbering documents

I want to consecutively number mulitple pages of documents that have been provided to me using my printer

Acrobat Standard 6 / Windows

By documents, I assume you are talking about PDF documents. If so, here's how:

From the menu bar click Document, Header & Footer, click Add. Under the Appearance Options, select the location for the page number and click the Insert Page number button.

Thank you for tips,However the documents are not PDf's, They are copies of records that have been supplied to me. They are already printed, I would like to run them through my printer and just add a page number at the bottom. Is this possible?
