Data connection using datadirect 32-bit Sequelink 5.4

I'm having trouble doing a data connection using Filemaker 8 database backend, I'm using a datadirect 32-bit Sequelink 5.4.  My database currently is setting on my client server - I'm receiving a SequelLink error; 2452.  Did Help - does any one the solution.

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer Pro 7 / Windows

Re: Data connection using datadirect 32-bit Sequelink 5.4

As long as there is an OLE module for your data base it shouldn't matter what the backend is.  LiveCycle connects to the OLE module, not directly to the database.

However, there are several potential issues.

The DB is remote, this means it's not always available.  If you used the setup defaults, then LiveCycle is expecting the DB to be connected all the time.  You may need to use JavaScript to control the connection.  Also, does the OLE module support remote operation?

Connection strings are always a pain.  Make sure this is setup properly.

I don't think Filemaker is on the list of database OLE modules that come with LiveCycle.  Are you sure the correct one is installed.
