scanning paper size

I use an HP 7130 printer/scanner and have used Adobe Acrobat 6 Professional with it perfectly. I upgraded to Professional 8 and when I place a document in the scanner adf, the option of selecting paper size in pro 8 is grayed out and everything I scan to pdf is legal size. How to I fix that?

A:Acrobat 8 has the ability to hide the TWAIN dialog and save steps. Make sure you Click Scanner Options and under User Interface Show Native Interface.

I tried this and no matter how I do this the paper size does not come ungrayed...any more advice?

Re: scanning paper size

Hi cja,

Are you able to scan properly from other applications (i.e., Word)?
A couple other things you might try are to use the WIA driver instead of the TWAIN driver if your running under Windows. Or, make sure you have the latest TWAIN driver installed. Also, sometimes the user accounts get corrupted so you can try re-creating a new account with administrative priviledges and try using this new account.

Hope this helps,

Re: scanning paper size

I have discovered that I have to choose document feed instead of flatbed when the scan box comes up.
