Viewing issues using internet explorer as a pdf viewer

I am running a Windows 2003 server hosting remote desktop. Users can open pdf's with 8.1.1 reader and the internet explorer. When a third party application which uses the internet explorer as a pdf viewer is launched it states the page cannot be displayed. I have already checked the add-ons and any updates from Adobe with no luck. Any suggestions.

My Product Information:
Reader Standard 8.1 / Windows

Re: Viewing issues using internet explorer as a pdf viewer

Hi parcher,

It's possible that this has something to do with the third-party application and how this is passed to Reader. Here is a link to a solution for this -- if the culprit is the third-party application:

Hope this helps,
