Excel to PDF conversion loses formatting an shadow boxes

Hello, I purchased Acrobat 8.0 Prof. to convert spreadsheets to pdf files.  Unfortunately, when I convert to PDF my formatting is lost:  The pages are cut off and my shadow box ends up all over the place.

The file prints perfectly to any of my printers, but the page breaks don't even match those in the print preview of the Acrobat PDF printer selection.

I have tried re-setting the print area/clearing the print area/printing selection/and reducing size, but nothing seems to solve the problem. These were the only suggestions I could find on the forum.  Isn't Acrobat supposed to export the file seamlessly?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi flippythewalrus,

Make sure that you have your Adobe PDF printer set as the default before creating the PDF. If your formatting isn't maintained, it may be because the Office products re-format pages based on the particular printer that is selected. Here is a link to additional tips for converting Excel to PDF:

Hope this helps,
