Carrying over Info

How do you populate information from one form field to another in LiveCycle? Like on page one of my form it has client name, this also appears on page 2, I want it to auto populate. It used to be that you just copied the text field and didn't change the properties or name. That doesn't seem to work anymore. Help!

My Product Information:
LiveCycle Designer Pro 8 / Windows

Re: Carrying over Info

Go to the "Binding" tab of the object and set the default binding to "Global".  This will make any field with the same value equal.

If you are using an XML schema within the PDF, binding the fields to the same element will also have the same results.

Re: Carrying over Info

The easiest way to achieve this would be to  give all fields containing the same data the same name. Then select one and give it a "global binding" by choosing "Object palette > Binding > Default Binding > Global". This will make all fields with the same name (e.g. "firstName") automatically show the same data regardless of where they are within the form's hierarchy.
