I am trying to see if it is possible to capture the users logon name for the Digital Signature field. I would like to make the Digital signature more secure to prevent others from signing someone else's name on the document. Right now you set up the Digital Signature, but you can put what ever you want in there and then sign as that person. Can anyone help me out with how to restrict the Digital signature field to certain individuals or to be able to capture their logon names?

Windows answer - Under Advanced | Security Settings you want to add a Windows Digital ID. Only the current login ID can be added. So long as you have managed your Windows IDs via AD or NDS domain cert's you can provided a trusted chain back to your company root cert. Have them use this ID for their signatures.
One drawback, though, Acrobat will not ask you for the password of the login ID to apply the signature. In this case you can prove the certificate, but not who signed it. Using the self signed model you can prove who signed it (a specific signature) but cannot prove the certificate (it's owner).
Hope this helps.

You can also use seed values (supported in LC Designer) to control who can sign a PDF.
When you create your signature field in Designer, go to the sidebar, choose the 'object' properties, click on the 'document signature' tab, and click the settings button. This will bring up a number of digital signature specific options, where you can actually restrict signing certificates, which will limit the users that can sign the document.
