How to display the filename
automatically
on the printouts?
I want the picture printout
to show the filename.
My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 6 / Windows

You can find this option under File / Print / Advanced / Mark and Bleeds / Page Information. This will take the file name and automatically place on the output.
If you want more control then use the Document / Add Header / Footer command (or indeed any of the ones in the top category) ..

Jon,
Thanks for the reply.
I tried your suggestion, but the filename did not print on the
output. I could not check/mark the page information box, it's greyed
out and I could not select this option.
Do you have other solution?
I don't want to add header/footer manually.
I want the filename printed automatically on the output/picture.
Thank you,
Sue

Hi Sue,
The file information option only works with postscript printers - you must be using another type of device in that case.
You might want to visit the scripting forum for a javascript or there are third party tools which can stamp filenames such as Enfocus Pitstop, ARTS PDF Aerialist and other tools.
Hope this helps?
Cheers
