sending security envelopes

There are too many steps required to send a security envelope and it is too complicated for my audience. So I was hoping a macro could simplify this process.

I need a one step solution like a submit button that would call a macro that would do all those steps in the background mentioned in the sending security envelopes video. Are the steps mentioned in the video available in acrobats javascript/internal macro language?

Also my audience who needs to send me secure data will only have acrobat reader 5 and higher. Is sending security envelopes available to these versions of reader or can acrobat reader be enabled with reader extensions already included in acrobat 8/livecycle designer?

thanks

Re: sending security envelopes

Hi eddiesimeon,

To use the security envelopes when you distribute a form the form needs to be an Adobe XMA form created in LiveCycle Designer. Designer forms require at least Acrobat/Reader 6.02, and in some cases 7.05, to operate correctly.

Within both Acrobat and LiveCycle there are numberous types of security that you can apply to a PDF (i.e., document security, password security, certificate security, etc.).

For an in-depth look at Acrbat Security I recommend our On-Demand Online Event at:

Hope this helps,
Lori
