I have a list of pdfs and a list of users, i would like to know if there is anyway, i can automate "send for shared review"? basically i do not want the user to open each pdf and then click on the menu item and paste a set of users for that doc, i would want an automated script (javascript?, command line parameters?) to run on the list of pdfs and do that for me.

Acrobat 8 Pro. is designed as a desktop tool for individual users, as such, it is not possible to automate the "send for shared review". The Adobe LiveCycle server products allow you to develop web application for processes such as this but not the desktop products.

Actually, You can access the functionality by invoking the excutemenuitem function. That function kinda "auto click" through the steps. It should save you a lot time on researching and money on buying livecycle. The documentations on livecycle were horrible to look at.
All I use livecycle for is enable unlimited comments and stuff like that. Got file upload/download working too but didn't touch the comment repository and XML yet, if there is one.
