Upgrading from acrobat version 4.0 to 8.0 professional

We currently have a Macintosh-system osx. We have acrobat 4.0 installed. We bought the 8.0 professional version but were told that we have to get all the upgrades before we can install it. Is this true? If so, how many versions or upgrades do we need to get and what are they? I really would appreciate your help on this.
Thanks!

Re: Upgrading from acrobat version 4.0 to 8.0 professional

You should just call Adobe Customer Service in your region. Acrobat 4 was OS9 ...

Hope this helps?
