metadata

remove file path and all other metadata info from doc in Adobe 7. This is the federal court and that info needs to be hidden for privacy purposes.

Re: metadata

Buy the redax plugin, or upgrade to acrobat 8 which inludes a redaction tool.

Re: metadata

Most, but not all metadata can be removed from a PDF.  This is because Acrobat insists on putting things like the last modified date into the PDF.  However, to do this you need to write a plug-in or use external tools.

A lesser amount of the metadata can be removed with JavaScript through the "doc.metadata" and "doc.info" properties. Many of the metadata properties are ReadOnly in Acrobat JavaScript.

The file path is not a metadata property, it's the current location of the PDF file.
