expanding text fields

Hello! I have been spending the past few weeks creating new templates in LiveCycle Designer 8.0 for my office.  I have created most of them, but i am stuck creating a template that has expanding text fields. These fields need to move all the fields below them (using subforms) and also go onto the next page if more space is needed.  I don't know anything about writing scripts, so is there any way to do this without scripting?
Also, I need to secure these forms. People in our office should be able to fill in the forms freely, but when we email the forms to our clients, all but 2 fields must be locked. How do i do this?

Thank you,
Amy

Re: expanding text fields

Hi afamulari,

There is an example of how to create a form with expanding text fields on the LiveCycle samples scripting page at:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/a … lowing.pdf

Under the File --> Form Properties dialog you can set the security properties for the entire PDF. You can also use a document signature to lock fields after signing. This can apply to the whole document or a collection of objects such as certain fields. There is an example of this at:

Hope this helps,
Lori
