Interactive form process and security

I am a newbie.  I would like to use interactive forms for our non-profit organization; for example, a volunteer form that one can sumbit online.  My question is once the person hits the submit button is there anyway to encrypt the information through the Adobe products or do I have to do something else.  I assume the file converts to an FDF file in the process, Right?
Thank you for your time on this.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8 / Windows

Re: Interactive form process and security

Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer comes with several security options you can use. Click the Help button and run a keyword search "Security". Scroll the search results and click the title of the security option you thinks is best for your form.

You could also write a JavaScript for the Submit button that locks the form with a password.

Re: Interactive form process and security

pddesigner,

Could you post a sample JS that uses a button or submit button to lock the form with a password?

Or at least a link to a sample?

TYIA,

LNail
