Since upgraded to 8.1 I have had a problem inserting a new page in a document. Get error message "Adobe Acrobat 8.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close." This problem did not appear to exist in 8.0. All other options available in "Document" seem to function.
OS = XP 2002 service pack 2.

You might start by running a registry checker program. Sometimes these odd errors are a result of minor problems in your registry. I'd start with that.
