My question has to do with converting a Word (2002) document with Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0. On pages where I have a text box with a colored background, the pdf file takes an exceptionally long time to display. I cannot figure out how to change the Word document or the conversion settings to prevent this problem - despite many attempts.
Cheers.

It would be interesting to see how you are making the PDF? Try both the PRINT command and also the PDF MAKER (with the icon in the toolbar) options.
Additionally, ensure you are running Acrobat 7.0.9 just in case.

Jon,
Thanks for the response.
I am running 7.0.9 and I get the same problem regardless of how I create the document. Perhaps it would help to know that I chose the "smallest file size" default settings and that the file is very large with many embedded figures.
