i had mp3 file embedded in my pdf document, how to have floating media player controls to stop/play/pause...the embedded sound file. thanks.

You need to edit the rendition of the sound file you add. Take the following steps:
Add the sound file as you normally would with the Sound tool (Tools: Advanced Editing: Sound Tool).
Then, with the sound tool selected, double-click on the sound you added to reveal the Multimedia properties dialog box.
At the bottom of the box, click Edit Rendition.
In the Rendition Settings dialog box, click Playback Location and choose In Document from the pop-up menu.
The only drawback is that the sound will be "visible" in the document, meaning that there will be a rectangle in the location you placed the file. A better method might be to create buttons in the document that allow you to stop and start it.

Can you suggest a simple piece of Javascript that would pause/stop an embedded sound or movie clip.
I've had no end of difficulty trying to find a solution this for Acrobat 8 Pro (win xp).
