Filling in form with FDF data

I created a form in Acrobat7.0 Pro that my users can fill in the form and submit the data by e-mail in FDF format. It works fine except when I open the e-mail, acrobat gives me a message that basically says I need to find the form on my system that the data applies to and open that form. When I do this, the form fills out correctly. My bottom line question is, can I set up acrobat so that this form opens automatically or do I have to manually browse and find the form and open it?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7 / Windows

Re: Filling in form with FDF data

Acrobat cannot intuit the location of the form to be filled.  Perhaps you moved the form-to-be-filled away from its original location, or changed its name?

By default, the FDF expects a PDF at the same location on your system as when the form was created.

Open the FDF file with a text-editor to see which file the FDF is expecting, and where.  Then, simply ensure that you have the blank PDF located in that folder.

Opening the FDF from an email attachment should then automatically call the right PDF to be filled.
