Can I code 3D Javascript commands in Acrobat Professional 7 to control a 3D model?

ANSWERED

Can I code 3D Javascript commands in Acrobat Professional 7 to control a 3D model?  It is my understanding that our CAD group can use Acrobat 3D to create an optimized model and then pass this model on to our coding team to add in 3D scripting using Javascript.

Re: Can I code 3D Javascript commands in Acrobat Professional 7 to control a 3D model?

Acrobat 3D and Acrobat Professional 7 allow for a tight workflow between departments. You need Acrobat 3D to import 3D data, optimize it for  size and appearance and then add in any animation. However only Acrobat Professional is required to to add in Javascripting. The entire 3D Javascript API is available to any code using Acrobat Professional 7.  And almost every aspect about a model can be controlled via Javascript, from lighting, to rendering modes, to physical simulation properties. This means that you can use and reuse your 3D models with different impact simply by changing the Javascript interface. Only your modeling group needs a copies of Acrobat 3D.
