Stop Auto Print

How do I stop Acrobat auto-printing something when I convert from Word/Excel/Web pages etc. to PDF

I am using Acrobat Pro 7 on Win XP Pro SP2

What do you mean by "auto printing"?

Do you mean that after creation of the PDF file, Acrobat is attempting to print the PDF fle to a real printer? Never heard of any symptom like that!

Or do mean that when you are creating PDF using PDFMaker, it looks like printing is going on? In fact, part of the PDF creation process from Word and Excel (but not Internet Explorer), is to "print" PostScript to "file" prior to converting that PostScript to PDF via distiller.
