Why does yellow highlighting print black (and obscure the text) in Acrobat on my postscript black & white Brother printer? I have it set on Default in Advanced Printing menu.
My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8 / Macintosh

Hi chasweb,
What version of Acrpbat are you using?
The yellow should be interpreted as grey -- have you printed other greyscale documents? You can try to create a semi-transparent object and then print – to see if the printer is having problems recognizing color.
Also, make sure that the "Print color as Black" is not selected in the print dialog menu.
Hope this helps,
Lori

Mac OS 10.4.1. Printer is a postscript Brother laser HL1850N
Using Acrobat Pro 8.0, if I print a document with colored background to text, color does print as grey. But using the highlighting text tool on text prints solid black. I have tried specifying Color as composite grey. Same result. I do not see a "Print color as Black" option.
One other strange thing (maybe related) - in the Print dialog, clicking Preview gives an error - "Preview is not supported"
** Using Acrobat Standard 6.0 with the same document, this does NOT happen!
What else can I check??
