About me
I've worked with Acrobat since version 3.0, in 1997. In 2001, I worked with a team at System Solutions in King of Prussia to develop an online review and approval system using tools which were new in version 5.0 (using MS Access as a database and ColdFusion as middleware). This system was very popular within the Acrobat community, and I spoke to someone at Adobe corporate headquarters in San Jose to discuss our progress.
I've since moved into the pharma industry, and continue to use Acrobat on a daily basis.
How I Use Acrobat
One important part of my job is to aquire, organize, and publish international regulations which govern the manufacture of our products. These regulations come from all over the world, and in a variety of formats. A bookmarked PDF is the only good solution for making all of these regulations available with a consistent appearance. We also use PDF for our submission documents. Lately, I've been creating PDF forms for use in workflows.
My Skills
In addition to working with Acrobat, I am an expert in formatting MS Word documents, and familiar with preparing documents for submission. I work mainly in document management databases, mostly Documentum based, with an emphasis on eRoom. I work with other document management and contact management software programs as well.
