Washington, D.C. Acrobat User Group

The Washington, D.C. Acrobat User Group provides an ongoing opportunity for Acrobat users in Government in the Washington, D.C. area to meet with one another on a regular basis and exchange ideas and knowledge. It acts as an effective forum for Acrobat users to share best practices, challenges, voice their requests for enhancements and learn about new features and products.

Who We Are

The group was founded in 2002 and has continued to meet quarterly for more than three years. We now have 250 registered members. Represented among the group are government contractors, companies and individuals that have played key roles in influencing product development and in driving the development of Adobe PDF as a standard in key sectors, such as the federal court system, and for important functions, including the PDF/A standard for document archiving. The local community also represents a similar spectrum of Acrobat-related issues and needs, from accessibility to forms and forms management to security.

Adobe Host

Cheryl Gennings
Cheryl Gennings, System Engineer in the McLean, VA office of Adobe Systems, recently assumed the role of the company host for the three-year-old Washington, DC-area Acrobat user group. She's been active in the group for two-and-a-half years, and has seen first-hand how both the company and its strong base of Acrobat customers in the region have benefited from the organized interaction.
