PDF Beyond Paper Interactive PDF
This session focused on the use of PDF documents for on-screen reading and interaction by discussing how to use the tools in Adobe Acrobat to add navigation, video and audio content and user interactivity.
A number of examples were shown including the new PDF based Adobe Magazine.
This document was used to show various aspects of PDF that enable rich-content distribution within a PDF environment using the classic method of creating the document initially from the application of choice.
Adobe InDesign was also used to illustrate its capabilities as a PDF generator. The use of InDesign to create navigation (links, buttons); layers for “conditional content” and its ability to import video and then convert the content to PDF was used as an example of how the Adobe range of applications integrate together.

Thanks to all for the large turn out, to the Adobe staff for their contribution and all who won in the prize draw. Remember it’s the taking part that counts better luck next time to those who haven’t won a prize yet.
