What a GREAT way to kick off our first user group meeting!

We truly enjoyed the impressive and informative presentation by Lori Defurio of the new and exciting features of Acrobat Professional 8 and Acrobat Connect.

Greg and I wish to thank all members who braved the heavy traffic to be at this inaugural meeting. We'd also like to thank Melissa Tabari of New Horizon Computer Learning Center who stayed overtime to support the logistics for this meeting. 

Meeting Minutes

• Opening comments:  Delivered by Gene Williams on the focus and objective of our user group.
• Members survey – We shared the poll results.
• Meeting start time: Start time has been changed to 7:00 PM.
• Meeting frequency: We are going to meet once a month. One meeting will be held per quarter at New Horizon Computer Learning Center. Other meetings will be conducted online via Acrobat Connect.
• Members level of understanding on how to use Acrobat 8: Beginner to intermediate.

Refreshments
We enjoyed some very good refreshments and networking that will bond this group and help maintain our connection with it.

Door prizes
Door prizes included a copy of the Mac version of Acrobat Pro, an Adobe logo baseball cap, several Flash drives, two copies of the Acrobat Bible by Ted Padova, and retractable USB cables.

Knowledge priority survey results
Pre-press printing was number one followed by PDF form development.

Your presence in this group is vital to its success so in order to maintain your interest and support, I have contacted an Acrobat expert to present our next presentation (scheduled for February 21, 2007) on writing JavaScripts for PDF forms. This will be a two-hour Acrobat Connect meeting with a 15 minute break.
