Meet Lori DeFurio


Lori DeFurio photoOur inaugural guest speaker
Lori DeFurio has been with Adobe® Systems for 9+ years,first as a system Engineer,working in the sales organization, then as the Acrobat® Developer Evangelist.She's been working with Acrobat® the entire time (version 3.0 and up...) and is excited about her new role supporting the Acrobat® user community.

Her goal is to help us become successful users of Acrobat® - whether that is a tip or answering your questions, or holding a workshop for us here in Las Vegas. I am very happy and excited that she will be our guest speaker at our meeting on January 17th.

This is our first monthly meeting dedicated to improving your knowledge and effective use of all the features available in Acrobat® 7 and 8.

Acrobat Connect



Adobe Connect Enterprise is an integrated web communication solution for real-time
meetings, eLearning, and online presentations that audiences can see and hear
anytime, anywhere, through any standard web browser.

Upon completion of this presentation you will know:

  • How to Host an online meeting with Acrobat Connect

  • Manage attendees and take notes

  • Communicate with attendees via voice or keyboard

  • Broadcast live video during your presentation

  • Record the completed meeting for others to view


Additional features will be covered that are best learned in this hands-on environment.

Acrobat 8.0



Adobe Acrobat 8.0 is one of the most amazing programs yet to be published by a software manufacturer. There are so many things you can do with Acrobat that the limits of the program are usually more related to the limits of a user's imagination than the program itself. This portion of the meeting will give you a good start on how to take advantage of previous and new features that will address your electronic publishing needs. Regardless of the work you do on a computer, at one time or another Adobe Acrobat will be your constant work companion.

We'll expand on the information you'll receive throughout the year with more guest speakers, online discussions, shared examples, and member learning support.

For our future discussions and hands-on activities, members will need to purchase or download and install the 30 day try out of the latest version of Adobe® Acrobat® Professional 8.0
