Queen of England comes to Denver User’s Group. Ok well Lori is not the Queen of England but close to that in our industry. We were thrilled to have Lori Defurio from Adobe Corporate fly in from NY to present at this meeting on markup and review processes in Acrobat 8.

This was our third group meeting and the group came in the top three for new members! Congratulations and thank you to all that have passed on the information.

This was also our first meeting that was presented via Connect. Thanks to Shaw for providing a room where we had a connection for Lori to present to not only the live group but to those who linked in via connect. This is a tricky process as you have two audiences, a live audience you are talking to and one online.  This will be an ongoing format for all our future meetings. Also note that you can become a member of other users groups and watch their User Group Meetings via connect.

We truly enjoyed the impressive and informative presentation by Lori Defurio which included sending a document to be reviewed by Lisa Forrester wirelessly, Lisa marked up the document and sent back to Lori. The markup and review cycle was so impressive many people stayed late to gain additional tips and tricks from Lori Defurio. Lori facilitated questions from the group and also reminded them about the Ask an Expert portion of the Acrobat Users Group site. If you have not used Ask an Expert,  it is a great resource. You can post a question and a group of professional Acrobat experts can review and answer your question depending on their expertise.

• Refreshments: Thanks again to Lisa Forrester for going all out in providing meat and cheese trays to make your own sandwich.o                    
• Opening comments:  Delivered by Cynthia Rudy, Denver Chair on the meeting structure and giveaways at the end.o                    
• Demonstration: Acrobat 8 Markup and Review Cycle presented by Lori Defurio from Adobe Corporate.
• Raffles: Almost everyone left with something from Adobe. The highlight was a copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional!
