"PDF. You can do more than just print it." This is the lesson everyone learned at the inaugural meeting of the Dallas chapter. Tim Huff & Jonathan Bowman from Adobe Systems, Inc. did a wonderful job of presenting the new features surrounding Acrobat 8. Tim detailed the history of PDF and showed just how far Acrobat has come in recent years. There wasn't enough time to detail every single feature, but Tim gave a great overview of some of the exciting things possible with Acrobat 8. Highlights from the presentation included how to handle forms, creating PDF packages, and the new Acrobat Connect for web conferencing.

Just when the group thought they couldn't be more impressed (or surprised) by what Acrobat does for businesses, Jonathan Bowman stepped up and gave a demonstration of Acrobat 3D. Only a handful of attendees had heard or even seen this program, but EVERYONE was in amazed. Acrobat 3D will certainly change the way engineers, architects, even 3D modeling students share & collaborate their work.
