The Chattanooga Acrobat User’s Group met at the New Economy Institute on April 24th. Chris Carson of Mueller Company presented on the amazing PDF Knowledgebase they have created on their plant. Mueller on Line contains thousands of drawings, manuals, procedures, forms and training programs all created in Acrobat. From the nearest computer an employee can find anything necessary to do their job in a few clicks. This has greatly improved the efficiency of the plant and helped Mueller grow in a market that faces tough foreign competition.

For the first time the meeting was broadcast over the web with Breeze. This worked well and the next meeting will be an open broadcast in Breeze. The June 26th meeting will be “How did you do that?”. Donna Baker from Manitoba, Canada, Lori DeFurio from NewYork and Tom Carson in Chattanooga fielded questions.
