					<description>Hey Ted!
Thanks a lot for the last info!
At this time I am looking how to place a video in my presentation. I already saw some presentations which were made in indesign and ran in pdf but cannot find the way to do it.
Are there specific files to be placed as videos?
Can I do it with indesign or shall do it in other program?

Thanks a lot!

<description>On changing Paragraph Styles, are you opening the Paragraph Styles palette (Right click or Control click on the Paragraph Style name and choose Edit &lt;style name&gt;) and editing font attributes in the Paragraph Style Options dialog box? You can't change font attributes on the document page and have the changes applied to all text identified with the style. It must be changed in the Paragraph Style Options dialog box.

Master Pages dynamically affect the document pages that are assigned a given Master Page. Be sure to check the Pages palette and look at the page thumbnails. Each thumbnail shows you a Master Page assigned to the page. If you change Master Pages, drag the Master Page to the Page Thumbnail(s).

Last question... Yes. You can apply a Master Page to a Master Page by selecting a Master Page and opening the fly-away menu in the palette. Choose Master Options for &lt;master page name&gt; to open the Master Options dialog box and choose the master you want to override the current master.

					<description>Hey again Ted!
I am having problems working with paragraph styles and master pages in my slide presentation using InDesign.
Lets suppose that I have a 20 slides presentation:
- if I create a Paragraph style, for a slide title for instance, I can apply it then as I will to change the other slide titles. But if after applying the style, I change the style options (choosing a smaller type, for instance) it does not apply the change automaticaly to all slide titles. How can I do it for the changes to be applied to all text with that paragraph style automaticaly?
- the same happens to the master pages. if I change a master page, the changes do not appear in the slides based in this master page. How shall I do for it to work like that?
- if I create a page based in a master page A, is it possible to change it to be based in master B?</description>

<description>You can create links in InDesign that navigate to different page views. If you have an audience with the presentation file following along, they can click buttons to open the link destinations.

However, I don't recommend creating the links in InDesign if you intend to export to PDF. InDesign links carry a bit more overhead through the use of named destinations in the resultant PDF document. I prefer to add the links in Acrobat.

					<description>Hey Ted:
2 things:
1. I am sorry but I did not find your post in that forum, or any post related to create slide presentations in InDesign. can you please send em the link?

2. Do you know how to create an automation in a slide presentation something like an index, that appears, for instance in a left panel?
This index you can create like a bookmark list, with subsections and so on, and that allows you to jump somewhere in the presentation and make it possible for the the audience to follow the presentation easily. And in someway my question has to do with making InDesign build this automaticaly.

Thanks a lot!

					<description>Thank you for the advice!
I've found a programme that could fix the problem - PDF Information Editor 1.2, but unfortunately it's a bit pricey :( I was told I could possibly fix it in Acrobat Editor - will have to see if my computer has that.

Thank you again!

					<description>Hello Erna,

Two things going on here. First, the interactive links you create in InDesign can be exported with the PDF document. When you open the Export Adobe PDF dialog box be sure to check the box where you see Interactive Elements in the Include section of the dialog. I tend to add hyperlinks in Acrobat as opposed to InDesign because the files can carry a little overhead and become a little larger if you export them from InDesign. If your file size looks okay, you can add the hyperlinks in InDesign.

For the second part of your question, you need to open the PDF in Acrobat and open the Document Properties (Command/CTRL+D). Click Initial View and check Open in Full Screen mode in the Window Options section of the Initial View settings.

Hope this helps,

					<description>Hi Ted !

Oh dear, another silly question I'm sure, but I can't find the answer anywhere :(

I've created my Indesign portfolio, to be saved as a PDF with buttons and bookmarks to make it easy to navigate the 46 pages the same way you would on a website. But, when I export it as a PDF and view it in Adobe Reader (8.0) it doesn't automatically open in full screen - I could get around that by adding a note for the viewer to view it at full screen mode, but the other problem is, even at full screen mode you can still scroll through the pages. This is not ideal as I would like the viewer to use on the buttons to navigate.

So in short: is there any way that I can save this PDF in such a way that it opens full screen, and makes use of only the buttons included to navigate?

Thank you for your time!

<description>Hey, that's a great tip. Thanks for posting it.

I just finished a new document, although not a slide presentation, it was completed in Adobe InDesign. You might enjoy looking it over. It should be posted soon here on Acrobat Users. Look for my 101FormseTips.pdf file you can download from this site. Should be up soon.
