Hi! My name is Leonard Rosenthol and I’m an PDF-a-holic!

I am the Technical Standards Evangelist for Adobe Systems, focusing on PDF Standards. I represent Adobe at a variety of standards bodies including ISO, and also serve as the Project Editor for ISO 19005-1 (PDF/A). In addition, I am a senior member of the Acrobat Engineering team and work to ensure that our PDF implementations are top notch!

Prior to rejoining Adobe, I was the Chief Innovation Officer for Apago, responsible for the design and development of such PDF tools as the award winning PDF Enhancer and PDF Appraiser, and ran the ONLY Adobe-authorized Acrobat & PDF developer training as the Chief Technology Officer of PDF Sages.

In a previous life, I was one of the most well known and well respected software developers for the Apple Macintosh. This reputation grew during his time as the Director of Advanced Technology for Aladdin Systems developing their StuffIt line of products.
