Unleashing Acrobat & PDF with live keynote webcast

It's the motto and mantra on the cover of the Acrobat & PDF Central Conference printed program: Unleashing Acrobat! And within a few hours from now at the Minneapolis Convention Center -- a short stroll from my temporary abode at the downtown Hyatt Regency -- the opportunity for attendees to "explore Acrobat with a great mix of experts" will be fully underway...and will be going strong for the next two days.

Things kick off with four concurrent 8:30 a.m. sessions:

  • Acrobat Forms (Speaker: Lisa Croft)
  • Discovering Adobe InDesign and Exploring Form Creation (Speaker: Mark Lehr)
  • What is LiveCycle ES? (Speaker: Angie Okamoto)
  • Programming Concepts for Non-Programmers (Speaker: Laurie Weaver)

Next up is the first of two daily keynotes that will be webcast live via Acrobat Connect Pro at 10 a.m. US Central [convert to your local timezone]. Today's hour-long general session is a group presentation on the theme of "Going Green with Acrobat & PDF: Profitability and Sustainability in the Enterprise," featuring Ted Padova, Bob Connolly, Paul Gilbertson, Ali Hanyaloglu, Duff Johnson and Angie Okamoto.

Remote attendees will be able to listen to and watch the keynotes, but also can ask questions using the chatpod in Connect. During last year's conference, as I noted then in a 2008 blog post, the online audience actually was able to ask more questions than the on-site audience.

So if you weren't able to make it to this great Minneapolis event this year, you're invited to join in today and tomorrow from wherever you happen to be. If you can't view the daily keynotes live, on-demand versions will likely be posted as soon as possible.
