About Kurt Foss & the Acro bytes blog

I became enamored with the initial concept of what Adobe Systems had dubbed “Carousel” — later christened Adobe Acrobat when released as a commercial product in 1993. As part of my own learning process, I began downloading,  examining and saving a broad range of PDFs, both good and bad examples, produced by a cross section of global users. Prior to joining AcrobatUsers.com, I served as editor for two other PDF-centric sites — PDFzone and Planet PDF respectively — and frequently wrote about interesting and innovative applications of the technology. In this blog, I’ll continue showcasing uses and users of Acrobat and PDF from time to time, along with sharing other relevant snippets of content gathered from disparate sources, online and off. I encourage you to make suggestions on both valuable examples and resources you’re aware of or types of applications you’re interested in having featured. And if you’ve got Acrobat-related tips to share with the community, please feel free to drop me a note privately. And please feel free to add your public comments to any blog postings. The more information we share, the more we’ll all continue to learn!
