Acrobat 7 tips & tutorials via video podcast

If you’re a fan of Apple’s iPod and iTunes service who’s also enthusiastic about learning new Acrobat features and techniques, you can combine those areas of interest by tuning in to the Creative Suite podcast. It’s produced by Terry White of Adobe Systems, Technical Resources Manager for North America, who regularly posts video-based tips and techniques covering the range of software that make up the Adobe Creative Suite product bundle.

If you own one of the newer iPods with video, you can subscribe via iTunes to have the free podcasts automatically downloaded and then loaded onto the iPod for handheld viewing. Alternately, you can download each topical video clip — typically 12-15 MB each and lasting anywhere from around five minutes up to 25 for the longest — from White’s podcast website and then play it with Apple’s QuickTime.

OCR your scans in Acrobat 7 Professional” is the most recent PDF-oriented podcast. Among other Acrobat topics featured in the archived podcasts are:

  • Use the Acrobat Typewriter Tool on Forms
  • Make your PDFs smaller

White alternates among the varied products, so if you want to also advance your skills with not only Acrobat but with Photoshop, InDesign, Go Live, Illustrator and/or other Adobe products and tools, become a regular video podcast viewer!
